How can we help?
One question per page, answered in the first paragraph: selling tickets, what you and your buyers pay, getting paid, memberships and the night itself. For craft, see the host guides; for quick product facts, the FAQ.
Selling tickets
How do I sell tickets for a recurring event on SocialLoop?
Set up one event with its ticket tiers, then repeat it daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Each date gets its own tickets and guest list.
How do I set up ticket tiers and prices for my event?
Add fixed-price or pay-what-you-want tiers with capacity, per-person limits, approval and secret tiers unlocked by a promo code.
Fees and what buyers pay
What does SocialLoop charge to sell tickets?
The platform fee on paid tickets is 5% on every plan, plus card processing. Free RSVPs carry no fees. See what a buyer pays and what you keep.
Should I pass ticket fees to buyers or absorb them?
How passing or absorbing ticket fees works on SocialLoop, where to switch it, what the buyer sees, and a worked example for a $25.00 ticket.
What does SocialLoop charge on membership dues?
SocialLoop takes 5% of each membership payment on every plan, plus the card processing fee. Members pay the tier price you set.
Getting paid
How do I connect Stripe to get paid for ticket sales?
Connect a new or existing Stripe account from Account, then Payouts. You can start selling first; your share is held until Stripe is connected.
When do I get paid for ticket sales on SocialLoop?
Paid to your Stripe account 7 days after the sale or 3 days after the event, whichever is later. New hosts have 10% held until 7 days after.
Promoters and commission
How do I pay promoters a commission on ticket sales?
Invite a promoter, set a percentage or flat commission per ticket tier, and SocialLoop pays it to their Stripe account after the event.
How do I see which promoter sold which tickets?
Open Revenue & Payouts for the event and filter Revenue by source to Affiliates, or export the guest list with its Source and Promo Code columns.
Community memberships
How do I sell paid memberships for my community?
Create a community, add paid tiers billed monthly or yearly, list the perks, and connect Stripe to receive the dues. A free tier is always included.
What happens when a member cancels their membership?
A member who cancels keeps paid benefits until the end of the period they paid for, then moves to your free tier. They can turn renewal back on.
How do members check in with their member pass?
Members open their member pass and show the QR code. Your staff scan it from the community Check-in tab to confirm an active paid membership.
Guest lists and check-in
How do I check guests in at the door?
Scan ticket QR codes from the web Check-in tab or the iOS app, check guests in by ticket reference, and let staff with a check-in role help.
How do I approve guests before they are charged?
Turn on Require approval for a ticket tier. Buyers apply with a card that is only charged when you approve them from the Waitlist.
How do I export my guest list from SocialLoop?
Export an event’s guest list to CSV or PDF from Generate Report, and export your contacts from My Network. Your guest data is yours.
Emailing and texting guests
Switching to SocialLoop and plans
How do I move my guests from Eventbrite or Luma to SocialLoop?
Export your attendee list from Eventbrite or Luma, then import the file into My Network or an event’s guest list. Recreate events in SocialLoop.
What is the difference between SocialLoop plans?
Every SocialLoop plan has every feature and the same 5% ticket fee. Plans differ by how much you can do each month. See the limits side by side.
