Should I pass ticket fees to buyers or absorb them?
Pass fees to buyers when you want to receive your full ticket price; absorb them when you want the price on the page to be the price people pay. On SocialLoop, a $25.00 ticket with fees passed costs the buyer $28.00 and you receive $25.00. Absorbed, the buyer pays $25.00 and you receive $22.60.

Switch it for an event
- Open the event and go to Tickets. The setting appears once the event has a paid tier.
- Find the Service fees card.
- Choose Pass to guest (fees are added on top of the ticket price) or Absorb (fees come out of your ticket revenue).
New events start on Pass to guest. With fees passed, buyers see a Platform fee and a Payment processing fee line at checkout; with fees absorbed, they see only the ticket price.
When fees are passed, a 50¢ service charge is added and the platform fee has a $1 minimum per order. When you absorb, neither applies. Checkout will not let you absorb fees on a ticket priced too low to cover them.
