How do I run a paid founder network with annual dues and invite-only dinners?
Sell the network as a yearly membership and make each dinner application-gated, so you approve every guest before a card is charged. On SocialLoop both live in one community: a membership tier with a yearly price and approval, and dinners whose ticket tier requires approval. SocialLoop takes 5% of each membership payment.

Set it up on the web
- Go to My Communities and choose New Community.
- Open Members, then Membership tiers, and choose Add a paid tier. Set a Yearly price and list what members get.
- On the review step, turn on Require approval, so each new member waits for you before joining.
- Create each dinner as an event and add a ticket tier with Require approval on. Guests apply with a card that is charged only when you choose Approve order.
- To keep a dinner’s tickets off the public event page, make its tier a Secret Ticket and send the promo code that unlocks it to the people you invite. The event page itself stays public.
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Member pays | $1,000.00 |
| SocialLoop platform fee (5%) | $50.00 |
| Card processing | The card processor’s fee on that payment |
| You receive | The rest |
Perks you list are shown to members; they do not change dinner prices automatically. Who gets a seat is decided by your approval or by who has the code.
Dinner tickets carry the ticket platform fee of 5% on every plan, plus card processing, passed to the guest by default.
