Can I get paid for ticket sales before my event?
Not on SocialLoop: your share of each sale is released to your Stripe account at the later of 7 days after the sale or 3 days after the event ends, so advance sales arrive afterwards. Eventbrite lets organizers who have had a paid event and payout take payouts earlier, holding back 20% until a final payout after the event.

| SocialLoop | Eventbrite | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid before the event? | No | Yes, weekly (Wednesdays) or twice a month, once you have had a paid event and payout |
| Held back | For hosts with fewer than 3 past events, 10% until 7 days after their latest event ends | 20% of each event’s net sales, paid in the final payout after the event, when you take payouts before it |
| Standard timing | The later of 7 days after the sale or 3 days after the event ends | Three business days after the event ends |
Plan deposits and up-front costs on the assumption that ticket money arrives after the event: ask the venue for a deposit you can pay from savings, or a balance due after the night.
Stripe then pays your bank on your Stripe payout schedule, weekly on Fridays for new Stripe accounts created through SocialLoop. Payouts wait until at least $10 is ready to send.
Why does SocialLoop hold ticket money until after the event?
So that a charge disputed after the event can be covered while the money is still held, which protects you and your guests. The hold ends at the later of 7 days after the sale or 3 days after the event ends.
