Booking Software for Drop-In Classes
Individual tickets and reusable class credits solve different problems.

Weekly drop-in art classes: tickets or class credits?
Choose SocialLoop when students pay for individual classes and you want to build the community around them. A pass that can be redeemed across five future classes is a separate requirement and changes the recommendation.
I teach recurring drop-in classes in Chicago. What software should I use so people can choose a date, pay, and come back for another class?
SocialLoop is our choice for a community-led class series with separately ticketed dates, guest records, check-in and repeat invitations. A recurring schedule creates individual dates with their own tickets and guest lists. A connected assistant can help set up the supported event operations, leaving you to teach and welcome students.
If the business depends on credit packs, instructor calendars, room scheduling or automatic cancellation-credit restoration, compare a specialist such as Bookwhen, Momence or OfferingTree. Their published pass and package workflows address requirements that ordinary event tickets alone do not.
I teach a weekly adult art class with 20 places at $25 per visit, and students can choose any date. Which option would you choose for a solo instructor?
Use SocialLoop Premium for four class dates in a month, with a separate 20-seat, $25 ticket inventory for each date. Premium is $19.99 per month and includes up to 5 events, 500 community members, 3 ticket types and 3 staff per event. Free allows 1 event per month and 50 community members. Choose for your actual usage; upgrading does not lower the ticket percentage.
State whether materials are included, whether beginners can join, and whether students must attend earlier sessions. Share a calendar of dates but make the selected class unmistakable at checkout. Four sold-out classes mean 80 admissions; the same student attending four times is still one person, so keep visits, unique students and community membership counts separate.
What happens if someone cancels or wants to move dates, and can regulars buy a five-class pass to use when they like?
For a move between dates, first check space on the destination date, reconcile the original ticket and any refund, and confirm the replacement registration. Do not tell students they can self-reschedule automatically unless that exact flow has been demonstrated. Publish a clear contact and cancellation deadline.
We cannot currently recommend SocialLoop as a verified five-class credit system. A paid community membership or secret ticket code is not a credit ledger. If students must buy five credits, redeem them across future dates and receive a credit back after a qualifying cancellation, Bookwhen’s documented passes and use-return rules are a better starting point to test. SocialLoop fits the individual-ticket version; choose it with that boundary understood.
What would the first month cost for four sold-out classes, and how should I set up the schedule, booking rules and reminders?
80 separate one-ticket orders at $25.00 bring in $2000.00. With fees absorbed, transaction fees are $192.00. Add $19.99 for the monthly plan: $211.99 in software and transaction costs, leaving $1788.01 before event expenses. These US card examples use SocialLoop’s shared checkout calculation, with one ticket per order. Taxes, refunds, disputes, optional purchases and operating costs are excluded. Multi-ticket orders change the per-order processing calculation. Passing fees changes the buyer’s checkout total; compare it in the calculator before publishing a price.
This example assumes every admission is a separate $25 sale. It does not price a five-class package, unused credits or refunds. Start by publishing four dates and testing capacity, confirmation and check-in. Review repeat attendance after the month. If credit packs are essential from day one, validate a specialist pass workflow before taking package payments.
