Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 2, 2026
SocialLoop Experiences Corporation ("SocialLoop," "we," "us," or "our") operates the SocialLoop mobile application and the website located at socialloop.ai (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform.
This policy describes our information practices. Creating an account, providing an email address, or using the Platform does not by itself subscribe you to marketing emails.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your phone number (used for authentication), first name, last name, username, profile photo, and city.
- Email Address: An address you provide for your account, account recovery, event communications, or email subscriptions you choose.
- Communication Preferences: Your email subscription and activity-sharing choices, the organizer or community they apply to, and records of permission and withdrawal, including when and how the choice was made.
- Event Information: When you create events, we collect event details including name, description, date, time, location, venue, images, and ticket pricing.
- RSVP and Ticket Purchases: When you RSVP to events or purchase tickets, we collect transaction details including your name, contact information, and payment information (processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe).
- Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us.
- Contact Information for Event Invitations: Event organizers may provide contact information (such as names and phone numbers) of individuals they wish to invite to their events through the SocialLoop platform.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, events viewed, search queries, and interaction timestamps. To understand which public guides help people get started, we use local storage and a first-party cookie shared between socialloop.ai and help.socialloop.ai to keep a browser reference for up to 30 days and connect the public page, referring website and campaign tags to completed signup or messaging actions. Prefilled texts may include a page reference; a conversation is counted only after you send it. Attribution records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this measurement.
- Location Data: City-level location information to show you relevant local events. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.
- Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver event reminders and updates.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication Providers: If you sign in via phone number, we receive your verified phone number from Firebase Authentication.
- Payment Processors: Stripe provides us with transaction confirmations and limited payment details (last four digits, card brand) but we never receive or store your full payment card numbers.
1.4 Optional Device Contact Sync
Contact sync is optional. If you choose to sync and allow contact access through iOS, the app reads the names and phone numbers of contacts with phone numbers that iOS permits it to access. This is a bulk import of those accessible contacts, including people who do not use SocialLoop; it is not limited to people you individually choose to invite. Before each manual sync, a separate disclosure asks whether you want to upload your contacts. You can decline and continue without syncing. iOS contact access and permission to upload contacts are separate choices. The contact import does not read address-book email addresses, postal addresses, notes, birthdays, or contact photos.
We upload and store contact names, normalized phone numbers, and phone-number hashes on our servers using Firebase (Google), associated with your account. Hashes are used to match phone numbers with existing SocialLoop accounts; we do not store only hashes. Matches may add the existing member's name and profile information to your contact list. We use these records to find people you know, identify mutual connections, manage your contact list, and support invitations you choose to make. We also record some social-connection interactions for product analytics, such as following another member back; these records can include that member's account identifier and profile name.
Beginning with iOS build 3.105.4, app analytics continue for product improvement, with advertising storage, use of personal data for advertising, and ad personalization disabled. These builds do not include advertising-identifier support. The Analytics property remains linked to Google Ads with personalized advertising enabled; data collected by earlier app builds may remain eligible for advertising measurement and personalization. The controls apply to analytics collected by these builds and do not erase information previously collected.
Earlier versions could copy imported contact information into a separate internal index used for contact search and social-connection analysis across accounts. We have stopped adding device contacts to that index and disabled access to it from the app and our admin browsing tools. Closing this index does not by itself erase older copies, which remain under restricted access until removed. See Section 7.5 for contact-access and deletion choices, including account-linked legacy records.
The app may keep an on-device contact snapshot containing names, phone numbers, identifiers, and phone labels. In iOS version 3.105 and later, signing out clears that local snapshot.
Syncing contacts is separate from choosing someone to invite and does not provide those people's permission to receive marketing messages.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and Operate the Platform: To create and manage your account, enable event discovery, process RSVPs and ticket purchases, and facilitate connections between event attendees.
- Communications: To send you event reminders, RSVP confirmations, ticket receipts, and updates about events you're attending — via push notifications, SMS, and email.
- Personalization: To recommend events based on your location, interests, and attendance history.
- Event Hosts and Producers: To provide event hosts with tools to manage their events, communicate with attendees, and view aggregate analytics about their events. These reports combine web and iOS event visits, ticket selection, registration and checkout steps, shares, and time spent on event screens. Native funnel measurement uses a random session reference without attaching your account identifier. Identifiable visits and checkout activity use the separate optional activity-sharing setting described in Section 2.2.
- Safety and Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.
- Improvements: To analyze usage patterns, debug issues, and improve the Platform's features and performance.
2.1 Email Communications
We use your email address to deliver account verification and recovery messages, security notices, ticket receipts, RSVP confirmations, and service updates about your bookings. Communities you join, including through event registration, may send newsletters, announcements, offers and future-event invitations to your account email unless you turn community email off. A saved email choice or unsubscribe takes priority. Messages identify the sending community and include an unsubscribe link. Membership in one community does not subscribe you to others.
Community email uses an opt-out model where applicable law permits. Organizers must obtain additional consent where the recipient’s local law requires it. You can turn email off in community settings or unsubscribe from a marketing email without losing your membership or ticket. Marketing-text consent is separate and is never inferred from email eligibility.
2.2 Checkout Reminders and Optional Activity Sharing
When your email permission covers the message and you have enabled optional event-activity sharing, we may use your signed-in event visits and checkout attempts, including their timing and recorded outcomes, to send a reminder about an unfinished ticket booking on behalf of that event's organizer. We check whether you have completed the booking and whether your permissions still allow the reminder before sending it.
Activity sharing is off until you choose it and does not itself subscribe you to email or texts. Each organizer can access shared activity for their own events from the last 90 days. You can turn sharing off in Privacy & preferences. Turning it off stops use of that shared activity for organizer profiles and campaign audiences; necessary ticket and payment records are retained as described below.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Event Hosts: When you RSVP or purchase a ticket, the event host may see your name and profile information for event management purposes (such as check-in and attendee communication).
- Organizer Email Tools: Organizers can manage their permitted email audiences and view campaign results through SocialLoop. These tools may display recipient email addresses and delivery information to the authorized organizer. Optional shared event activity is governed by the choices described in Section 2.2.
- Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party services including:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, cloud functions, analytics
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Twilio — SMS delivery
- Resend — Email delivery
- Vercel — Website hosting
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI models that power in-product features (event copy, campaigns, page generation). Only the content needed to produce the output you requested is sent; this is separate from connectors you authorize (below).
- AI Assistants & Connectors: If you choose to connect SocialLoop to a third-party AI assistant (such as ChatGPT or Claude) through our connector, you authorize that assistant — via a standard OAuth consent screen — to access and act on your SocialLoop account data on your behalf. Depending on what you ask it to do, this can include reading your events, guest lists, ticketing, and billing status, and creating or updating events on your account. The data the assistant accesses is shared with the AI provider you connect, under that provider's privacy policy. You control this access entirely: you grant it explicitly, it is scoped to your own account (an assistant can never reach another host's data), and you can disconnect it at any time from your AI assistant — which immediately revokes its access. We never connect your account to an AI assistant without your action.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information in other ways if you give us explicit permission.
4. SMS and Text Messages
At paid ticket checkout, we retain your event-update choice, the notice version and wording shown, the date of your choice, the account phone selected, and the event and purchase identifiers. A valid issued ticket is required before a new text opt-in takes effect. Choosing email only at the payment action stops event texts immediately, even if payment does not complete. These records document permission for that event and do not grant community marketing-text consent. Community email is described in Section 2.1. You can buy a ticket with email only; STOP and existing account opt-outs remain respected.
4.1 What We Send
We use the permission recorded for each type of message. Event-text permission covers:
- Event reminders and updates for events you've RSVP'd to
- RSVP and ticket purchase confirmations
A community Text updates subscription covers recurring community news, announcements and invitations to future events from the named community, including promotional invitations. One subscription covers those ongoing messages until you turn it off; it does not enroll you in other communities. Each community message identifies the community and SocialLoop. Verification and security texts support account actions you request.
Community text subscriptions require an explicit agreement in the subscription form. After checkout, the visible community’s text choice may start selected; it remains an unsaved draft until you press Agree & subscribe to marketing texts. Closing or skipping the prompt does not subscribe you. We retain the community, destination number, channel choice, timestamp, enrollment source and disclosure wording and version to document that permission and honor changes. Email and text choices are managed separately. Creating an account, buying a ticket or accepting this policy alone does not grant community-text consent. See Community text updates.
4.2 How Phone Numbers Are Collected
Phone numbers are provided through the SocialLoop platform when users create accounts, register for events, accept invitations, or join event communities. Event organizers may also provide contact information for individuals they wish to invite to their events. Receiving or storing a contact's phone number does not itself authorize a text invitation; SMS delivery uses the recipient's recorded permission and current opt-out status.
4.3 How Phone Numbers Are Used
We use phone numbers to deliver account and event notifications and, where you separately opt in, updates from communities you choose. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared with our SMS delivery provider, Twilio, solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf.
SMS opt-in and consent are never shared. The mobile information and SMS consent you provide to SocialLoop — the fact that you opted in to receive text messages, and the phone number you opted in with — are not shared, sold, or rented to any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This category of data is excluded from any other information-sharing described in this policy.
4.4 Message Frequency and Rates
Message frequency varies based on your event activity. You may receive up to 15 messages per month depending on event invitations and reminders. Message and data rates may apply. Supported carriers include all major US carriers.
4.5 Opt-Out, Help, and Re-Subscribe
- Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe from all future messages from that sending number. SocialLoop also pauses event and community texts across the platform. You will receive a one-time confirmation message.
- Help: Reply HELP to any SMS message for support information, or contact us at support@socialloop.ai.
- Re-Subscribe: Reply START in the same conversation to clear that sending number's opt-out. Other opt-outs and saved community preferences still apply; START does not create a new subscription.
Opting out of SMS does not affect push notifications or email communications, which can be managed separately through app settings and email unsubscribe links. To stop only one community’s updates, use My membership → Manage membership. Your membership and other communities are unchanged.
4.6 Texting SocialLoop (our AI)
You can text SocialLoop, our AI, by iMessage or SMS at +1 (213) 852-2046. You start the conversation; sending the first message is your opt-in, and our first reply tells you that SocialLoop is an AI.
- What we keep. We store your messages, SocialLoop's replies, and what you ask SocialLoop to remember (for example your city or the kinds of events you like) so it can help you over time. Message content is encrypted before it is stored. Photos you send are kept so they can be used, for example as an event cover; location and camera details are removed from them.
- How it is used. To answer you and to carry out what you ask, such as finding events, RSVPs, or managing events you host, with your account's permissions. Actions that publish, send to other people, or involve money wait for your explicit confirmation.
- Who processes it. Your messages are processed by the AI model providers we use (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) to write replies, and delivered by our messaging provider (Sendblue). Where a provider lets us choose, we ask it not to store your conversation. We do not sell your messages or use them for advertising.
- Introductions. SocialLoop only introduces you to someone if you both say yes, and only shares what you agreed can be used for matching.
- Your choices. Text DELETE to erase our conversation and what SocialLoop remembers (photos you sent are erased unless they became an event cover). Text STOP to stop all messages. Your conversation is included in your account data export and is erased when you delete your account. Access by our team is limited and logged.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes.
Event attendance records and transaction history may be retained in anonymized form for analytics and reporting purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Firebase Security Rules restricting database access
- Secure authentication via Firebase Authentication
- PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe (we never handle raw card data)
- Regular security reviews of our cloud infrastructure
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your profile information at any time through the SocialLoop app settings.
7.2 Delete Your Account
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@socialloop.ai. We will process your request within 30 days.
7.3 Opt-Out of Communications
- Push Notifications: Manage through your device settings
- SMS: Reply STOP to any message
- Marketing Email: Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. The unsubscribe page explains whether your choice applies to that sender or all organizers. You can also manage organizer email subscriptions in Privacy & preferences, and community subscriptions in that community's notification preferences.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel your account, tickets, or memberships. We may still send necessary account, security, payment, and booking communications. Email, text-message, and activity-sharing choices are managed separately.
7.4 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, (b) request deletion of your data, (c) opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data), and (d) non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@socialloop.ai.
7.5 Device Contacts
You can skip contact sync and continue using SocialLoop. You can also change SocialLoop's contact access in iOS Settings. Reducing or revoking access limits future access to your address book; it does not by itself erase information already uploaded to our servers or recall a write already sent. Deleting your account removes contact records stored under that account. It also removes legacy index entries linked to your account identifier and the entry for your verified account phone number. This cleanup does not delete independent producer contact lists.
To request removal of imported contact information, including information about you that another person provided, contact support@socialloop.ai. Tell us that your request concerns imported contacts so we can identify the relevant account and separately stored records.
8. Children's Privacy
SocialLoop is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@socialloop.ai.
9. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. International Users
SocialLoop is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date, and provide additional notice where required by law. A policy update does not subscribe you to marketing, restore a withdrawn permission, or expand an existing permission. Where a new use requires consent, we will obtain it before that use.
