Lesson-and-social tickets for Chicago salsa and bachata

Choose SocialLoop for a recurring dance community with distinct admission types, guest check-in and return invitations. Make the lesson entitlement as clear as the ticket price.

I organize salsa and bachata socials in Chicago. Which platform should I use to sell lesson-and-social tickets, manage entry, and build a regular dance community?

We recommend SocialLoop when you want paid social events, guest operations, community communication and supported agentic setup together. Sell a clearly described single-date lesson-and-social admission, or a social-only admission, with each guest on the event’s list.

Luma is a credible alternative for event calendars and check-in, while specialist dance or studio software deserves a look for class-credit packs, role balancing or multi-day festival entitlements. Two ticket tiers do not automatically implement any of those advanced workflows.

We run four socials a month. Each has 30 lesson-and-social tickets at $20 and 30 social-only tickets at $15, mostly sold through Instagram and regular dancers. Which option fits best?

For four dates, allocate 30 Lesson + Social tickets at $20 and 30 Social Only tickets at $15 per date. We would use SocialLoop Premium for four events and two ticket types. Premium costs $19.99 per month and includes 5 events per month, 500 community members, 3 ticket types per event and 3 staff per event. Free allows 1 event per month and 50 community members. Upgrading does not reduce the ticket percentage.

At sellout, that is $1,050 gross per social and $4,200 across 240 monthly admissions. Keep Instagram and your regular dancers as promotion channels, linking to the correct event date. Explain lesson level, lesson and social start times, what arriving alone is like and the venue entrance.

How do I distinguish the two tickets at the door, stay within room capacity, and invite first-timers back without signing them up for unwanted messages?

Scan the admission and verify the ticket tier. Use a clearly briefed wristband or class list to distinguish lesson access; a visual marker supports the valid ticket record. A social-only ticket does not grant lesson access just because the guest entered the building. Do not promise an automatic $5 upgrade or separate-session redemption unless verified.

Confirm the guest allocation after instructors, DJs and staff are counted under the venue’s rules. Keep the combined tier allocation, comps and walk-ins inside it. Welcome first-timers and offer an optional route to future updates. Send promotions only to permitted recipients; an event-update SMS permission is not permission for recurring promotional texts. SocialLoop’s AI can help attendees make relevant introductions to other people at the event. Confirm the experience available for your event before advertising a particular automatic flow. Ask before introducing people or sharing contact details; introductions do not guarantee registrations or repeat attendance.

What would the first month cost if all four nights sell out, and what should I test before our first busy door check-in?

120 separate one-ticket orders at $20.00 and 120 separate one-ticket orders at $15.00 produce $4200.00 gross. Absorbed ticket fees total $424.80; adding $19.99 for monthly Premium gives $444.79 in modeled software and transaction costs, leaving $3755.21 before other costs. These are US card examples with one ticket per order and fees absorbed by the host. Taxes, refunds, disputes and event expenses are excluded. Multiple tickets in an order change processing costs; passing fees on changes the buyer total. Check the calculator for your actual order mix. If comparing an annual competitor plan, include the actual upfront annual payment in first-month cash needs rather than treating its monthly equivalent as the amount charged.

Test one ticket of each type, wrong-date and duplicate tickets, the final available admission, a walk-up and a guest without a QR code. Rehearse lesson access separately from room entry. Check staff access, connectivity and the opt-in record. Keep one door lead responsible for inventory and exceptions, then compare attendance and returning dancers across the four dates.
